So the first site I looked at for my Street Signs project was Facebook. The top of Facebook uses the street signs so I can always log off, go to my page, go to my news feed, or use Facebook as a page. Once into someones photo albums I can go back to their profile, but that for the most part is all I can do with the bread crumbs. I like the way it is set up (minus the fact that they change it all the time). I can also see my messages at any time as well as notifications and friend requests. The bottom has my chat and the right side of the page has all my online friends, all the time, like a street sign.
The second site is Google . At the top now is my Google + option as well as searching the web, searching images, and other useful search methods. I can also manage my gmail account from here. As far as bread crumbs go, google has options to go to previous page, but no bread crumbs search option, which might be nice. Some google programs have it, but not google the search engine.

Public Relations Website Review
The first portfolio I looked at online was a personal site through Wordpress by Kat called Kat's PR Portfolio . I like that she used a blog to run her own personal page, because it has a familiar feel to it. Someone who has experience with WordPress would be able to navigate through it fairly painlessly. The color organization is very simple, but the page does seem somewhat cluttered to a point. It is easy though to see what is a link and what is just text.
The second one was Lyndsey Kujawa's. Her site was very simple, which I liked, and clear headings on how to navigate the site. No scrolling required, just simple and easy. You can see her resume, portfolio, contact info, an her bio all in one click. I really like how her site looks, I would make mine a little more fun.
An example of something I do NOT want is here. This looks like garbage. I feel like I could create this from the ground up with no help from Dreamweaver. it has old colors, old pictures, and very basic looking designs and basic colors. If I ever make a site like this I would be asking to not be hired!
I like the color scheme here. The only issue I have is with the size of the text, and the fact that there is too much text. Keep it simple. The colors look good but less is more! Use fewer words with more links that make it simple to navigate the site.
This blog/portfolio was sidetracked. They never put up any pictures, and eventually turned it into a social media love fest with the blog. They used small icons and a distracting vibrant color for the back ground that make it hard to focus on what was being written, which in turn is why the writer gave up.

The Best Buy?
I figured for this assignment I would look into doing something productive with my homework, so I went to the Best Buy website (via google.com search, not typing in bestbuy.com in the URL bar, which I typically do) to check out and buy the new Madden Football game for the X-Box.
The first thing I noticed was the sale going on for Labor Day. I read a little more about it but did not see video games on the sale list. I didn't really want to look around the deals just to find that Madden was not included, so I skipped out for now, I may go back later. Then I clicked the product drop down tab, which had a down arrow next to it so I figured it would drop down to see what I wanted. I was pleasantly surprised at how little I had to think after that point though. They had listed every little thing they would need to know to make sure I went to the right section of the site to find exactly what I was looking for.
I was a little disappointed though because once I narrowed my search to just X-box games, I was directed to games for PS3 and Wii. I actually was confused as to why I was seeing this and even thought I had clicked something wrong, so I went back to see if there was something I had done wrong (not good Best Buy!).
I ended up settling on the New Releases button on the main X-box page and then searched for Madden from there. All and all I was able to get where I needed without too much confusion, but there was some. Now, if I were to send my mom to the website to order something there might be an issue (like I could get the wrong game! Which would be a disaster), but then again, I guess that is why they have to store and the assistance in the store!

Why Blogger?
First assignment, huh? Well, let us jump right in and start the discussion...
How about we start with a statement of fact: Blogger is better than WordPress. Period. Now, no good statement of fact is without reasoning, so here we go. The main reason, if there need be any other reason, is that Google owns Blogger. Google, since they pretty much run the internet, is far and away the most popular and most recognizable search engine/online monopoly in the known universe. "Just Google it" has become the standard term for looking something up online, followed by "Facebook me", which has no competition to Blogger. Since Google is part of everyday life for anyone with a computer and the internet, why not keep with their standard and hit up Blogger!
Looking for sources that agree? I found a page that enforces my case. I found an article on Techncom that says Blogger is easier to customize, has an easier to understand interface, has tons of new features, and is free to host! For more information, check out the website!
Finally, I am a blogger. I am not going to claim I am an experienced blogger, but I am a blogger none the less. I have only ever used Blogger, therefore I would say I have a slightly biased opinion. But, if it is what you know then go with it! I know blogger, so that is what I am going with. Argue all you want, I am going to use what I know and what works for me, and Blogger is it!
